June, 2003
The last month or so has been very
interesting in that I have been fortunate enough to have
stayed busy promoting not one, but two new books. Thanks
to all of the radio programs/hosts that have had me on,
especially Mancow, Peter Anthony Holder, Kevin Wheeler,
Mike Rice and many others. I also got to enjoy being a guest
on FOX TV’s Best Damn Sport Show Period a few weeks
ago for Roadside baseball, which was a blast.
Last week, National Public Radio’s
All Things Considered did a piece on James Dean Died Here;
you can hear the six-minute interview by clicking here http://discover.npr.org/rundowns/rundown.jhtml?prgId=2&prgDate=June/14/2003
and scrolling down.
Some new reviews have been posted in
MEDIA; the USA Today
and Reader’s Digest pieces will be up soon.
WIN A FREE SIGNED BOOK--A new picture
is posted on the Mystery
Photo page—many guessed correctly that the featured
pop culture landmark last month was the pantry at the Ambassador
Hotel in Los Angeles where Bobby Kennedy was killed by Sirhan
Sirhan. (The winner prefers to remain anonymous.) I was
taken down there privately last summer for a tour and in
PHOTOS you can see
some more of the shots I took in this very haunting spot.
Will check back soon; have a good start
of Summer…
