Congratulations, Anaheim Angels.
For not just winning the World Series,
but for demonstrating the utmost
class, professionalism, work ethic and good sportsmanship—things
that many pro sports teams seem in desperate need of.
I’ll have thoughts about being
at those games posted here soon, but I’ll tell you
what, words will not do it justice. Here are a few images
from that last, spectacularly glorious weekend. A short
video
that starts with the pre –game fly-over (the pilots
had rally monkeys in the cockpit) and ends with the last
out of Game Seven and the reaction. (Listen in the last
ten seconds or so for the woman with the greatest reaction
of all.) And here
is a photo of the Gene Autry statue bedecked with Thunder
Sticks and here
a shot of the start of the victory celebration.
Remember, the MYSTERY PHOTO CONTEST
for a signed book continues here—played
yet?
Next week…The Rolling Stones,
right where I saw the World Series won by the Angels. Talk
about a good week…it’ll be documented in some
way here…
