Welcome, and thank you for stopping by.
After my first book came out last year I
got to thinking that, through the internet, the relationship between
author and reader could be more dimensional, more personal and
more interactive than ever before. To that end, I was anxious
to get this site started... and so here we are.
One goal for this site (obviously) is to
feature books I've written
and books I'm in the process of writing. But just as importantly,
I'd also like to bring you some things that go beyond the pages.
Unpublished photos, anectdotes, ideas in progress, correspondence...
if it helps enhance the author/reader experience, I'm interested
in it. (Naturally, your suggestions and thoughts are more than
welcome.)
So you know, I love history (particularly
that of popular culture and baseball) and roadside travel (as
you'll see in some of the things I'm currently working on). I
shoot many of my own pictures, some of which you'll always find
in the Photo section.
As well, I am fortunate enough to make my
living in advertising. If that interests you, in the "My
Books" section you'll find details about the advertising
book I have coming out next year.
Lots of stuff still needs to be added but
the book I did on the Los Angeles
Memorial Coliseum just came out and so I wanted to get going
here. And there you have it. Bookmark the site if you'd like (or
pass it along to someone you think might like it) and please stop
back whenever you need a bit of an escape. I'll always try to
have a little something interesting waiting for you.
