Chris Epting
Creative Director/Copywriter
History: From 11/98 – 11/2001, I was Senior VP/Creative
Director at HBRA, Newport Beach, CA. After joining this
agency (which previously had been known primarily as a grocery
store specialist), we won the following accounts: The Los
Angeles Times, IHOP, Stone Mountain Carpet Mill Outlets,
Palace Park Entertainment, Rthport, Snyder Drugs, StreetZebra.com,
Diedrich Coffee and the Los Angeles Clippers.
In addition, we helped make Ralphs
Supermarket Southern California’s most popular grocery
store, and did solid work for existing clients such as Factory
2-U, Food 4 Less, Fresh Fare Markets and several more.
For nine years prior to joining HBRA,
I worked at Italia/Gal Advertising in Los Angeles. After
starting there as a copywriter, I eventually worked my way
to VP/Creative Director. Along the way, I wrote literally
thousands of print ads, in-store materials and commercials,
including the "P.C. Modem & Bob" radio campaign
I helped create for CompUSA. This campaign required 10-12
new spots per week, 52 weeks a year. Personally, I wrote
and produced over 3000 spots in eight years. In addition,
I also created campaigns for clients such as Del Taco, Whole
Foods Market, Smart and Final, Shakey’s Pizza, Shoney’s,
Jamba Juice, Zacky Farms, the Los Angeles Clippers and many
more (these were all heavy retail accounts—that’s
been my main discipline). I have a fairly good list of awards
if you’re interested (though they don’t really
interest me). Prior to Italia/Gal, I was a copywriter at
several agencies in New York. |
